The College of Engineering is proud to celebrate the accomplishments of students who have demonstrated excellence in their academic work, leadership experiences, and in service to others. The following BME students are recognized for their achievements with Leaders & Honors Awards:
Harkirat Arora

Distinguished Leadership Award – Graduate Students and Richard F. and Eleanor A. Towner Prize For Distinguished Academic Achievement
The Distinguished Leadership Award – Graduate Students is given to graduate students of the College of Engineering who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and service to the College, University, and community.
The Richard F. and Eleanor A. Towner Prize For Distinguished Academic Achievement is presented to the outstanding graduate student in each degree program. Criteria considered by the department awards committee include students’ active participation in research, leadership, and academic performance (GPA).

Distinguished Academic Achievement Undergraduate Award
Presented to the outstanding undergraduate in each degree program, the criteria considered by the department awards committee include academic achievement, exemplary character, leadership in class and activities, and potential for success in future endeavors.

Tau Beta Pi Tom S. Rice Award
This award honors Michigan Engineering students who have made exceptional contributions in the areas of scholarship, research, leadership and service.

Distinguished Leadership Award – Undergraduate Students
The Distinguished Leadership Award – Undergraduate Students will be conferred upon undergraduate students of the College of Engineering who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and service to the College, University, and community.

Marian Sarah Parker Prize – Undergraduate
Presented to an outstanding undergraduate student who demonstrates qualities of leadership, academic achievement, and outstanding contributions to the University and/or College community. This individual will demonstrate values, support and advocacy for women to flourish as engineers, as well as fostering leadership and success in engineering, independent of gender identity.
