Gregory T. Martin, Ph.D. is an executive, entrepreneur, and biomedical engineer with more than 30 years of experience spanning venture-backed startups, publicly traded medical device companies, and academic institutions. He received his BS, MS and PhD degrees from MIT in Mechanical Engineering and was a Postdoctoral Researcher and Staff Scientist in the Harvard-MIT Biomedical Engineering Center. He has co-founded and built early-stage medical device companies from inception through clinical validation and commercialization. At the corporate level, he has held senior R&D leadership roles at Hologic and Cytyc. In addition to his industry experience, Dr. Martin was more recently a Senior Lecturer in Biomedical Engineering at Boston University where he taught biomedical design and entrepreneurship and was Director of the Coulter Program (2013-2017). He is an inventor on multiple U.S. and foreign patents, and now serves as a consultant to companies at the intersection of technology, clinical translation, and commercialization.
