Craig Berky is an accomplished medical device executive with over 35 years of leadership experience spanning product development, commercialization, and operational excellence. He has a proven track record of guiding early-stage companies from concept to market, integrating clinical insight with strategic execution across development, manufacturing, and fundraising.
Throughout his career, Craig has led or contributed to the successful launch of more than 33 medical products and is credited with 58 issued patents and 48 pending applications. His expertise bridges innovation and scalability – helping emerging companies achieve regulatory, technical, and commercial milestones.
Craig currently serves as Chief Operating Officer of ICHOR Vascular, a company developing advanced balloon-based thrombectomy systems for peripheral vascular applications and as Senior Advisor to 1315 Capital, a healthcare-focused private investment firm.
Previously, he held senior leadership roles including Executive-in-Residence for the University of Michigan Coulter Program, Vice President of Research & Development at Dalent Medical, and Chief Operating Officer of NAGL MedTech, where he managed global client programs in product development, contract manufacturing, and strategic consulting. Craig also served as a strategic advisor to Interplex Precision Technologies and earlier founded and led Interplex Medical as General Manager and Vice President of R&D, overseeing strategic growth and acquisitions.
As Chief Operating Officer of InNeuroCo, Craig directed the development and manufacturing of neurovascular technologies for hemorrhagic stroke, leading to the company’s acquisition by Integer Holdings Corporation. Earlier in his career, he held innovation and development leadership positions with IDx Medical and Ethicon Endo-Surgery, focusing on next-generation surgical and diagnostic technologies.
Craig currently serves on the board of ICHOR Vascular. He has also contributed as a board member for Triple Ring Technologies and external advisory board member for BioOhio, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital (in collaboration with Ben-Gurion University of the Negev), the University of Michigan Coulter Program, and the University of Cincinnati’s Biomedical Engineering Program.
