Research Interests
My laboratory is interested in understanding the cellular, molecular, and physical basis of brain cancer behavior, especially concerning the invasion of the normal brain by tumor cells. In parallel, we also study the bi-directional regulatory interactions between the immune system and brain tumors. We then leverage the basic science information to develop new approaches based on gene therapy, immunotherapy, and nano-technology for the treatment of deadly brain tumors. These new treatments are then tested on human patients suffering from this so far incurable disease.
