BME NEST Holds Networking Event

Networking dinner offers students opportunity to connect

The BME NEST (Network for Engineering Success and Transformation) program recently organized a networking dinner at Cottage Inn on Wednesday, November 29. Attendees seized the opportunity to mingle and delve into diverse topics, from career aspirations to their favorite student clubs. Prominent attendees ranged from the lead recruiter for UMich students at GE Healthcare to professors and underclassmen. Alex Guiamet is the new lead for U-M recruitment for GE HealthCare. He attended the event as a BME industry partner and U-M alum.

Now in its second year, NEST continues to provide valuable resources and support to BME students. The program is dedicated to establishing a supportive network and community, with a specific focus on underrepresented groups, first-generation, and transfer students. For those interested in getting involved as a student or becoming part of the network, inquiries can be directed to nest-ambassadors via email.
