NEST Hosts First Event for the ‘23-’24 Year

NEST provides resources, support to students

The BME Nest: Network for Engineering Success and Transformation held its kickoff event for the new academic year on Wednesday, October 25. About 20 students attended the session, which included a program overview, ECRC (Engineering Career Resource Center) info session, digital scavenger hunt, tour, and dinner. Faculty, staff, and student allies met with participants to learn about their goals and provide guidance on courses, internship and job searching, managing stress, and sharing resources available through the Engineering Center for Academic Success.

NEST is in its second year of offering resources and support to BME students. The program focuses on creating a supportive network & community for all students in the BME program, particularly those from underrepresented groups, first-generation, and transfer students.
