Dr. Kopelman was a jointly appointed professor of biomedical engineering from 2008 through 2014 and remained an active part of our faculty until his passing at age 89. He had mentored more than 70 Ph.D. students in Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Biophysics and Applied Physics during his time at U-M.
