Research Interests
- Dr. Bruns’ research group, the Peripheral Neural Engineering and Urodynamics Lab (pNEURO Lab), focuses on interfacing with the peripheral nervous system to restore function and examine systems-level neurophysiology. Projects in the lab include developing closed-loop neuroprostheses, examining neural control in normal and dysfunctional states, and designing and testing novel electrodes. Current primary interests include neural interfaces with dorsal root ganglia and controlling autonomic organ function.
