This course will cover descriptive statistics, probability theory, distributions for discrete and continuous variables, hypothesis testing and analysis of variance, as well as more advanced topics. We will make connections with real problems from engineering, biology and medicine, and computational tools (using software program R) will be used for examples and assignments.
