The engagement of Biomedical Engineering students in multidisciplinary research connecting medical, dental, public health, and engineering sciences is a key component of their development as engineers. This development is most readily recognized in undergraduate and graduate participation in design projects--from conception to production. BME's Key Student Initiatives and Discretionary Fund is applied to enhance student participation at related conferences and research sites, and to provide the materials and supplies for design projects.
